I took 8:30 Bus for Marysvale, arriving there at about 5:30 P.M. Bro. Thos A. King of the Stake Presidency and was taken to Junction where I attended 8:00 P.M. Con. meeting and was one of the Speakers. I stayed at night with Pres. Joseph Ipson.
2 November 1930 • Sunday
Junction, Utah.
I attended and spoke at two conference meetings, and went to Marysvale and stayed at night.
3 November 1930 • Wednesday
Marysvale.
Am well.
I left Marysvale at 6:30 in Buss. Arrived in Salt Lake at 3:00 P.M.
I went home and got my car & went through the Temple at night. [page break]
4 November 1930 • Tuesday
Election Day.
I played golf with Geo. & Nina.
I took Mother & Estella to the Capitol in the evening.
5 November 1930 • Wednesday
I did the speaking at the Temple meeting Set apart 14 missionaries & offered prayer at the missionary meeting.
Attended living sealings &c. Mother & I went through the Temple in the evening.
Estella & Children have been with us for several days while she is resting and taking treatment for kidney trouble. Ruby has been waiting upon her but Ruby now has severe cold. Others well.
6 November 1930 • Thursday
I attended to my meetings and duties at the Temple as usual. I had an artificial tooth break loose from the bridge and I went to the Dentist. Mother & I put in a full day & I went through the Temple at night.
7 November 1930 • Friday
I attended to my duties at the Temple as usual, and went down to my Son Oliver’s and assisted him in administering to his baby who has Bronco-Pneumonia. I had radiator to my auto drained and filled with Ever Ready Prestone which I have used for two winters, an anti-freeze.
Oliver’s baby is quite sick with cold. Mother, Estella Lee & I spent about three hours at their home. They treated the baby with [page break] mustard poultices &c. We of administered to him.
8 November 1930 • Saturday
Mother & I called at Olivers in the forenoon and Oliver & I administered to the baby who is still very sick and under the car[e] of Dr Woodbury & a nurse Mrs Nelson. Oliver, himself, is nearly sick with cold.
Mother, Aunt Nerva & I left in my car at 2:30 P.M. for Tremonton, We called on Edna in Ogden and arrived in Tremonton at about 5:30 P.M. After supper with Estella & family, Spencer & I took Aunt Nerva to Fielding to visit our Sister Alice, thence to the 8:00 P.M. Priesthood Conference meeting of the Bear River Stake held in Garland. I was one of the Speakers.
9 November 1930 • Sunday
Tremonton, Utah.
I took some things Aunt Nerva left in the car, to Fielding where she was visiting with Alice Ann, then attended Conference meetings and spoke at each. The Lord helped me again and I had good liberty of thought and Speech. I attended a 9:00 A.M. meeting with the Stake Presidency Stayed at Estella’s & Penn’s. At about 5:00 P.M. Oliver phoned Ruby saying that the baby was not so well so she & we left at about 5:30 for home and we went to Olivers where we stayed until about 11:00 P.M. Drs Woodbury & G. G. Richards were waiting upon the baby. Ruby & daughter Nerva spent the night with them nursing the baby.
10 November 1930 • Monday
Mother & I went to Oliver’s soon after 8:00 A.M. & found the baby still in a critical condition. We blessed him [page break] and Mother remained with them while I took Nina home and then went to the Temple. I spent some time at Olivers in the afternoon and went through the Temple at night. I returned to Oliver’s where Oliver & I blessed the baby again, and as he seemed brighter we left for home at 11:00 P.M. leaving Ruby & Nerva with the baby. We were called at 2:30 A.M. and informed that the baby was gone.
11 November 1930 • Tuesday
Twelve years ago to-day the Armistice of the World’s war was signed.
Olivers baby Boy Joseph G. Richards passed away at about 1:30 A.M. to-day. Mother & I responded to the call and went down to Olivers soon after his passing. Mother remained with them & I went on errands &c. Mother Oliver, Marie & I went to the Mortuary and selected a casket &c. I spent the afternoon at the Temple. Took dinner with the folks at Ninas abt. 6:00 P.M. Spencer & Estella & children, came from Tremonton & returned in the evening.
I wrote to my Son LeGrand, telling him of the death of Olivers baby.
12 November 1930 • Wednesday
I attended the funeral of Oliver’s baby Jos. G. the services held in Deseret Mortuary quarters.
I spent the afternoon and evening with Oliver & Marie after the burial. Spent the forenoon in the Temple attending to my usual work. [page break]
13 November 1930 • Thursday
I attended the usual 9:00 A.M. meeting of the Twelve and the 10:00 A.M. meeting of the Presidency, the Twelve and the Patriarch held in the Temple. The latter meeting usually concludes its business about 1:00 P.M., when lunch is served them in the dining room on the second floor. At these meetings the brethren dress in the robes of the Holy Priesthood and have prayer in circle as revealed in these days.
I attended to my sealing work after the meeting and was otherwise occupied during the afternoon. I took night train for Lovell, Wyo.

Arrived in Lovell, Wyo. at about noon. The M.I.A. and Primary Convention was held in connection with the Stake Conference, the first meeting commencing at 1:00 P.M. I attended afternoon and evening sessions, and at 4:00 P.M. met with the Stake Presidency. This was a profitable meeting. We decided here to reorganize the Presidency of the High Priests Quorum, which we did the following day, I left them a plan of division of responsibility for the Presidency and High Council and Bishoprics and recommended for the High Priests Quorum, Genealogical & Temple work; for the Seventies, Stake missionary work; and for the Elders; ward teaching and mission work abroad. Am well.
I attended to the duties of the Conference, including the release of Bro Olsen of the Stake Presidency & filling the vacancy. Attended to all ordinations, and spoke briefly in the morning meeting and occupied about 45 minutes in the afternoon. With May Anderson and Sis Hogan, I took 2:35 P.M. train for home.

All day and until midnight on the train, but arrived safely.

I attended to my correspondence and other desk work at the Temple. I took Mother, Ruby, Geo. & Edith and Oliver & Marie to the Paramount Empress in the evening.

I had a busy day at the Temple and Mother and I went through at night.
20 November 1930 • Thursday
Clear & Cold with some snow on the ground. I spent a busy day at the Temple and Mother & I went through at night.
21 November 1930 • Friday
I attended to my duties at the Temple as usual.
Visited the home of Jos V. Nelson 9th West & 403 N. St. with Norman Erickson and administered to their sick child. I took [page break] O.S.L. 5: P.M. train for Los Angeles.
22 November 1930 • Saturday
On train, arrived in Los Angeles, at about 7:00 P.M., two hours late all the way from Salt Lake. My son LeGrand met me at the station with his car and went with me to the Los Angeles Stake Conference at 7:30 P.M. It was Priesthood conference. I addressed the meeting.
23 November 1930 • Sunday

Am well
My Son LeGrand took his Car and went with me to the Los Angeles Stake Conference where we met with the Presidency at 9: A.M. H. Council at 12:45 P.M. & Regular Conference at 10: A.M. & 2:00 P.M. I spoke at all meetings, My son LeGrand spoke at the afternoon meeting. I set apart a number of Stake officers. I returned with my son to Glendale and attended that ward evening meeting and spoke as one of the Speakers of the evening.

I played golf with LeGrand, Alex Nibley and a Bro. Olsen. I took 8:00 P.M. train at Los Angeles for home. LeGrand and Ina took me to the Ry Station

Arrived home from Los Angeles on train at 9:10 P.M. My son George, Mother & Ruby met me at the Station.
26 November 1930 • Wednesday
Home.
Am usually well.
Snow & cold weather.
I spent a busy day at the Temple, [page break] until a late hour at night.

Thanksgiving Day.
Oliver & I witnessed the football game at which the U of U team Scored 41 to the Aggies 0. Mother & I and George & Edith & their family took dinner with Nina. Mother cooked the Turkey &c.

I attended to my duties at the Temple as usual. until after noon. I took 5: P.M. train for Los Ang
In the evening my son George and I attended the wrestling match.
29 November 1930 • Saturday
I took my car and my Son George accompanying, I went to Gunnison, leaving Salt Lake at 9:00 A.M. we arrived in Gunnison at 2:00 P.M. Sister Forster accompanied us as far as American Fork & we picked her up on the return trip.
We attended a meeting with the Presidency & Bishopric of Gunnison ward at 3:30 and public meeting at 7:00 We both spoke.
30 November 1930 • Sunday
Home Gunnison.
I met with the Presidency at 9:00 A.M. Spoke at 10: A.M. & 2:00 P.M. Conference meetings. After meeting my Son & I accompanied the Stake Presidency to Mayfield 8 miles distant to administer to a Sister Peterson. We left Gunnison for home at 5:15 P.M. and arrived home without incident at about 10:00 P.M. [page break]
