I did some office work and attended two sessions of Book of Mormon committee meetings. In the evening George took his family, Mother, Ray and me for a ford ride. This day I set apart three missionaries to New Zealand.
We as a family are all feeling pretty well in health. I am happy in my labors May the Lord be praised.
I have missed the mark, I am sure, in the matter of keeping my diary in the past in that I have aimed principally to show how and where my time has been spent. Many important things I have omitted to record such as dreams, occurrences contemporality with my life. For example At a meeting attended in Holbrook Arizona April 26th last a Mr Mayfield Congressman from South Carolina was present and at the close of the meeting sent up $20.00 for the Arizona Temple fund. I [page break] wrote him from Barstow, California the following day thanking him and later received a splendid letter from him which I should have recorded in my journal. I think I shall get it at this late date and pin it in my journal. One of the most important things of my life was the seeing the Saviour in a dream which was I think in the month of March 1906, the month before I was called into the Council of Twelve. I failed to record it at the time and later when I came to make a record of it I could not tell the date I received it. I wonder if it was not so with the Prophet Joseph with respect to the bestowal of the keys of the Priesthood by Peter, James & John. We have not the exact date I think I shall try and do better & be more careful in the future.
Last Saturday night May 15th I went with Bros. Cordan and Chales to the home of Patriarch Eddington in Driggs, Idaho and we administered to Bro. Eddington. His sister said she had received a manifesta[page break]tion that if I came to the conference and administered to her brother that he would get well.
On Friday Last my son LeGrand brought me home and took dinner with me. I told him on leaving that I he would lose nothing through having come up here. It was his mother’s birth day. As he turned his car around he saw Sister Hansen standing in the street waiting for a car and he asked her to ride which she did. She put him on track of a customer for a house and he sold her or him a home that afternoon.
