Rigby, Idaho.
Warm day.
Am well.
I attended 10:00 A.M. & 2:00 P.M. Conference meetings and occupied 60 minutes at each with good liberty. I took 5:57 P.M. train for home.
2 September 1929 • Monday
Arrived home from Rigby at 7:00 A.M. Went to the Temple meeting and worked at my desk &c until after noon.
Returned again to the Temple and attended to some sealings after the last session in the evening.
I played a game of golf with my Son George, and went to a show with Six other members of the family, it being a public holliday. Edna, Estella, Nina, Lucena, Mother & Alberta Gallacher with my self made up the Company.
It rained part of the day and the temperature lowered. [page break]

Home.
Stormy day.
Am well.
I went to the Temple in the morning and attended to correspondence and other desk work.
Took Alice & Aunt Nerva down to Sister Steward’s and later went after them. Called on my granddaughter Thelma Tate Nobbs and saw for the first time my second Gt. grand daughter, her baby.
4 September 1929 • Wednesday
Beautiful day & Cool weather.
Mother & I attended to our duties as usual at the Temple, many marriages. In the evening I took Sister Richards, Lucena, Edna, Estella to a late show.
5 September 1929 • Thursday
Cool weather.
Mother & I attended to our duties at the Temple as usual except that I had my Thursday meetings with the Presidency & the Twelve. Edna & Estella called at the Temple gate and Mother & I took them to Ninas in Sugar House and brought Edna back to Hotel Utah where she met Mrs. Hinckley and returned with her to Ogden.
6 September 1929 • Friday
Attended to my regular work at the Temple. In the evening my son George & I went to a wrestling match, complimentary tickets.
7 September 1929 • Saturday
Stormy day.
I spent some time at the Temple and at 4:00 P.M. My [page break] wife and I left in our auto for Moroni, arriving there about 7:30 and attended the opening session of the Moroni Stake Conference at 8:00 P.M. I occupied about 45 minutes with good liberty. Went to Fountain Green to sleep.
8 September 1929 • Sunday

Am well
Rained in night
We stayed with Pres. Neilson last night. We drove over to Moroni and attended 10: A.M. and 2: P.M. Conference meetings. I spoke at each. At 8:30 A.M. I held a meeting with the Stake Presidency for an hour and gave them valuable instruction.
After the afternoon meeting I ordained a number of High Priests and set apart one Bishop and three or four Bps. counselors, six H. Counselors and two Presidents of Seventies, 49th Quor. &c.
My wife & I left Moroni at 4:40 P.M. and arrived home at 8:15 P.M.

Beautiful day
My sons George & LeGrand & I played an early morning game of golf.
Attended to my duties at the Temple as usual.
10 September 1929 • Tuesday
I did some work about home cut lawn &c. Took mother shopping, and visiting &c.
11 September 1929 • Wednesday
Mother & I spent a busy day at the temple until 7: P.M. when on invitation of our Son LeGrand we went to their home to supper and [page break] we spent a pleasant evening with them, all the members of the family being present.
12 September 1929 • Thursday
Mother and I spent a busy day in the temple from about 8:00 oclock to between 7 & 8 at night.
I wrote to my Son Ray in Germany and enclosed a $50. Check to him.
I also wrote to Ruby.
Mother & I went to a show at 8:00 P.M.
13 September 1929 • Friday
I played golf with Prests. Grant & Nibley & Dr. Jn. H. Taylor. T. G at 47, I 51, H J G. 56 & C. W. N. 54.
Mother & I attended the morning temple meeting and other duties at the Temple.
14 September 1929 • Saturday
I took my car and with me my wife, my Son LeGrand & wife & their little boy Alden and went to Logan where we were met by Jack & Ruby by appointment and I took them all to Supper. Then Jack Ruby took mother, Ina & Alen to their home in Cornish while LeGrand and I went on to Preston and attended the first Session of the Franklin Stake Conference at 7:30 P.M. We both spoke 30 min each. We had 670 of the Stake population present and a Splendid Spirit & instruction. After meeting we returned to Cornish, Played rook until after 11: P.M. [page break]
After meeting I ordained and set apart four full Bishoprics of Oneida Stake
15 September 1929 • Sunday
Cornish, Utah.
LeGrand & I went from Cornish to Preston and attended a meeting of the Stake Presidency at 9:00 A.M.
We attended 10: A.M. & 2: P.M. Conference meetings and each spoke at both meetings and at the Close of the meeting I ordained and Set apart two full Bishoprics, Pres. of the H. Priests quorum, a President and Secretary of the 116th quorum of Seventy and a counselor to a Bishop in Oneida Stake. We returned to Cornish and had supper with Ruby and Jack, and left at 7:05 for home. We reached Salt Lake about 10:45 P.M. A pleasant trip. Weather fine.
16 September 1929 Monday
Mother and I went to the Temple as usual in the morning where I remained, busy until 4: P.M. Spent the evening at home. Spencer & Estella stayed with us. Mother & I attended to Barbara. She had high fever. Oliver, Marie called and we administered to her and she was blessed through it. Adm. to Estella.
17 September 1929 • Tuesday
I washed my car before going down town. Attended to business at Richards’ Motor Co office. We signed a lease with Bro. Holt for a lease or rental of a new building to be erected before Jan 1st in which to carry on our business @ $275.00 per month for a term of five years.
I went to the Temple and attended [page break] to some work there.
I attended a missionary meeting and set apart five missionaries, two to Hawaii, two to So. America and one to Denmark. Mother & I took supper at Shays Cafateria and went to the Play House at night.
18 September 1929 • Wednesday
Mother & I went to the Temple in the morning as usual.
We had a busy day and left the Temple about 5:30 or 6:00 P.M. We visited Sister Margaret Caine at her home and I gave her a blessing. We took Estella Lee from the Temple to her home in Sugar House and called on Nina.
19 September 1929 • Thursday
Mother & I went to the Temple as usual in the morning.
Attended 9: A.M. Temple meeting, a meeting of the Twelve and a meeting of the Council of the Presidency and Twelve. I lead in prayer at the altar.
Attended to the Sealing work of the living and otherwise was busy.
I was 13½ hours in the Temple.
20 September 1929 • Friday
Sister Richards & I went to the Temple where we spent about nine hours. A busy day. I went with Pres. Nibley to the Park and played two holes of golf when we quit on account of the rain. In the evening my Son George & I went to a wrestling match on complimentary tickets.
21 September 1929 • Saturday
I took 6:50 A.M. O.S.L. train for Montpelier. [page break] Arrived in Montpelier 2:50 P.M. I was met by Pres Rich and taken to his home where I spent the night.
At 7:30 Attended first session of Conference and occupied about 45 minutes with good liberty.
22 September 1929 • Sunday
I met with the Stake Presidency at 9: A.M. Spoke at forenoon and afternoon meetings & set apart one bishop and seven Bps Counselors
Pres. Silas L. Wright took me to McCammon about 80 miles to get train for home.
Arrived home at 11:20 P.M.
23 September 1929 • Monday
Mother & I went to the Temple in the morning as usual, where we had a busy day.
24 September 1929 • Tuesday
Spent some time at the Temple, put new globe in radio battery. played golf with Prests Nibley & Anderson. Spent the evening at home.
25 September 1929 • Wednesday
Attended to my Temple work as usual about 20 marriages.
We left the Temple for home about 10:00 P.M.
26 September 1929 • Thursday
I spoke at the Temple meeting at which there were a large number of missionaries going through for the first time. Attended weekly Council meeting. Wrote to our Son Ray &c. Mother, Rega & Lucena went through with the 1st evening session. I worked at my desk. [page break]
27 September 1929 • Friday
I attended to my duties at the Temple as usual. In the evening my son George & I attended a wrestling exhibition at the McCullough arena, ticket Complimentary.
28 September 1929 • Saturday
I spent the forenoon at home and took 12:40 P.M. train for Blackfoot, arriving there at 7:10 P.M. and at 7:30 attended the first session of the Blackfoot Stake conference and I occupied about 50 min. of the time. I stayed at the home of Pres. Duckworth.
29 September 1929 • Sunday

I attended and spoke at 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Conference meetings also attended a meeting of the Stake Presidency at 12:15 P.M. and a meeting of the Bishops at 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. I ordained and Set apart last evening the Bishopric of Aberdeen ward. Took train at 4:30 P.M. and arrived in Salt Lake at 11:20 P.M.
30 September 1929 • Monday
Attended to my duties at the Temple as usual. Set apart Henry J. Stag and James C. Jeane as ordinance workers, and attended to the important ordinance work. Later, in evening, I set apart as Temple ordinance workers Bros Isaac Reno Vance and Robert Wm Rhoden. These men all have been under consideration for some time and are well recommended.
