Mother & I attended to our duties at the temple as usual. In the evening we went to the 27th Ward Show in which our two sons Oliver & Ray took part. We took Geo, L. & Nerva with us.

Mother & I spent 11 hours in the Temple. Busy day.
3 February 1927 • Thursday
Spent the day in the Temple. Attended the weekly council meeting from 10: A.M. to about 3:30 P.M.
Mother & her sisters Anna & Estella went through the temple in the evening and I worked at my desk & took them home when they got through This day about noon, Georgina, Joels’ wife gave birth to a beautiful 8 lb baby girl. We are all happy.

Mother & I went to the Temple in the morning as usual, where we had a busy day.
5 February 1927 • Saturday
I took my car and drove down to Sandy where I attended Jordan Stake Conference, two sessions. I sealed upon [first, middle, and last names redacted] his [page break] former blessings after consulting him or conversed with him to satisfy myself that there were no strings on him and no intanglements with women and that he sustains the actions of the Presidency in their efforts to suppress the practice of Plural marriage.
I took Mother & Lucena to a show in the evening where the Vitagraph was exhibited. The person is seen and heard at the same time.
6 February 1927 • Sunday
I attended the Jordan Stake Conference at Sandy. I took my car & took Andrew Jensen & wife along. I spoke at both meetings and between held a meeting with the Stake Presidency.
This is my son LeGrands 41st birth day. I took Mother, Estella & Spencer up to see them at 335- 5th Ave. They have just moved in yesterday where the family expect to live while a new home in Normandy heights is being builded.
Spencer & Estella & Orin & Nina & their children & Rega & Lucena called.
Rega & Lucena are moving into the Droubay Apartments near us. Lucena commenced work for Taylor-Richards Motor Co. the first of this month.

I went to the Temple as usual. Gave direction for certain changes being made in the fount & wash rooms. &c.
Made written recommendations to the First Presidency that the Jordan Stake be divided, the Jordan River forming the dividing line. [page break]
I visited Brother & Sister Ringdall and blessed them both. Spent the evening at home & attending farewell reception for Pres Char H Hart.

I attended to my duties at the Temple as usual until about 2: P.M. when I took Phoebe Peart home from the Temple in my car. Alice and I visited at the L.D.S. Hospital several sick people viz. Sister Asey & a sister from Vernal & blessed them; Sister Zina Bull, Sister Geo. Robinson & Sister Penne Richards. We also visited in their homes, Zina Y. Card, Lulu G. Richards & my sister M. E. Knowlton. Spent the evening at home.

Oliver is improved.
Attended to my work at the Temple as usual. Mother & I went down to Sugar House to see Dorothy Woodbury our grand child. I administered to her. She had temperature 104°. Attended my circle meeting later.
10 February 1927 • Thursday
Mother & I went to the Temple before 8:00 A.M. as usual. I attended weekly Council meeting from 10: A.M. to about 2 P.M. It was about 7:00 P.M. when we left for home. We called on Rega & Lucena who have become near neighbors to us lately again.

Mother & I went to the Temple as usual. Had a busy day. I took 11— train for Milford.
12 February 1927 • Saturday
Arrived in Milford at [page break] 7:15 A.M. I was met by Pres. Thos.W. Gunn and taken in Comfort to Beaver 32 miles. Stayed at Pres. Gunn’s home. Attended and spoke at both forenoon & afternoon meeting of the Conference. No evening meeting. I spent the evening with Pres. & Sis Gunn.

Am well.
Attended forenoon & afternoon meetings of Conference in Beaver and the evening meetings at Milford. I was the Speaker and occupied 70 minutes. Subject the Mormon Doctrine of Deity; the door into the Kingdom, Being Born again; other ordinance necessary to Salvation, Marriage & divorce. At Beaver <[2 words illegible]> I spoke of History Repeats itself. Incentives to do good & be good viz. Hope of reward, fear of punishment, Sabbath observance, the interest the women of the Church should manifest in Priesthood; how they are effected by Priesthood. I took train at Milford at 9:45 P.M.

I arrived in town at 5:00 A.M. from Beaver. Walked to Main St. waited in the cold 30 minutes & got car at 6:05 for home. I called at T.R.M Co. on my way to the Temple. Attended a testimonial reception tendered Wm A. Morton, in Wells ward. Took Edna & Mother to a show after 5 P.M. Edna also accompanied Mother & me to the Testimonial in the evening.

Mother and I went to the Temple as usual. We attended funeral services of Sister Harriet Strong Hogan and I was one of the speakers. With the [page break] girls of the family, I spent the evening until a late hour at my daughter Edna’s home and took some of the folks home in the southern part of the city.

Mother & I were in the Temple before 8:00 A.M. as usual, and then attended to our duties. In the evening, Mother & I attended a reception by the M.I.A. Boards in Bps. Bldg.
17 February 1927 • Thursday
Attended to duties at the temple. Estella Lee was taken Sick in the Temple. I administered to her, and took her home with Auto. Mother & I called on Mamie & Nina. Spent the evening at home. <Attended Director’s meeting of R.M.C.>

We went to the Temple as usual. Had a busy day. In the evening we went to the Paramount Show.
19 February 1927 • Saturday
I went to the Temple later than usual. Spent part of the day there and went down to Nina’s in Sugar House and blessed Buddy & Wallace who have the measles.
20 February 1927 • Sunday
I attended 27th ward School and meeting. Took dinner with our daughter Estella and Visited Nina & children and others of our folks. [page break]

I attended to some business down town. Made out and filed my Income Tax Report and paid $15.10 tax for 1926. Spent the evening at home.
22 February 1927 • Tuesday
I went to the Temple meeting and presided as usual. Later went home and heard Pres. Coolidge’s Washington address before the joint Senate & House in Congress of the U.S. This by radio.
Mother and I spent some time with Ward members in an annual affair. We took Rega & Lucena to the American in the evening.
23 February 1927 • Wednesday
I am 66 years old to-day.
I spoke at the Temple meeting.
Spent an hour at the Genealogical Society Office. Wrote to Hugh & Sarah in Switzerland also wrote to Ruby, in Cornish. Attended my Prayer Circle, and spent the evening thereafter at home.
Members of the family called in the evening and we served them with refreshments, icecream & cakes, &c.
24 February 1927 • Thursday
I attended to my duties at the temple as usual. Attended rest of Council meeting from 10 A.M. to about 2:30 P.M. When Mother and I left the Temple we took her sisters Annie and Estella home in the Southern part of the City. Called at Ninas in Sugar House. Spent [page break] the evening at home. Clarence and Mamie & children called and together with them, Mother & I called on Lucena & Rega in the Droubay House, near by.

Mother and I spent most of the day at the Temple. We attended to some items of business outside. Spent the evening at home.
26 February 1927 • Saturday
Geo & Edith & [Rebast?], Nerva, Mother & I left home in my car for Fielding at about 10: A.M. And went as far as Layton where we turned back on account of the heavy storm which was raging and the blackness all around us. We were going to the Annual home coming. We returned to our home, had dinner and I took them all to the Orpheum.

I addressed the High Priests of the Salt Lake Stake at 10:30 A.M. meeting held in 17th Ward Amusement hall! We had Lucena & Rega and their children and Charles & Edna to dining with us. Mother & I and Lucena & children went down to Ninas and spent a couple of hours. I heard over the Radio the address in the Tabernacle in the afternoon of Pres Jos. F. Merrill and that of Prof. Clarence W Tracy of Weber College, Pres. from K.S.L. Station.
28 February 1927 • Monday
I went to the Temple as usual before 8 o’clock. Attended to correspondence and other desk work. Spent the evening at home until 9: P.M. when Mother & I went to the show with Charles & Edna.
