Mother & I went to the Temple as usual where we had a busy day. [page break]

I spent part of the day at the Temple and part in visiting our sick folks. Attended a show with Mother. Geo. & Edith were our guests, in the evening.
3 March 1929 • Sunday
Weather moderated.
Mother & I attended the funeral services of Chas. B. Felt in 18th ward House, and the funeral services of Elizabeth Shill held [illegible] 19th ward house. I spoke at the latter. Mother & I took dinner at Shay’s Cafeteria, and called on Nina, Mamie & Nerva.
4 March 1929 • Monday
Moderated weather.
Mother & I went to the Temple as usual. I attended to some business at the Bank & with my son LeGrand,
Attended to my usual work at the Temple. Mother & I took our daughter Nina & children for a ride for 45 min in the afternoon. Nina has been bed fast for nearly four weeks. In the evening mother & I went to the Play House and took LeGrand & Ina with us. The Bishopric of 27th ward sent these tickets to us for which I paid them $41.00. It is to help pay the ward indebtedness on the amusement Hall.

I have taken some cold
I went to the temple in the morning. Married a couple, attended to some desk work &c. In the afternoon Mother & I took Nerva and Sarah to a show and to Shay’s Cafeteria to dinner. In the evening a director’s meeting for the Richards Motor Co was held in our home until a late hour. [page break]

My cold is worse to-day.
Weather pleasant.
Mother & I went to the Temple as usual in the morning.
President Clawson phoned a change in my appointment from Juab to San Juan for this week-end. We were in the Temple about 12 hours. I attended my Circle meeting in the evening, and later Mother & I went to a show with Geo. & Edith

Am better of my cold.
A beautiful day with moderated temperature.
Mother & I went to the Temple in the early morning as usual. I attended weekly council meeting and after that meeting a meeting of the Twelve until 3: P.M. My appointment was again changed to the Large Tabernacle for next Sunday.
I spent about twelve hours in the temple.
8 March 1929 • Friday
Mother & I spent about twelve hours in the Temple this day. I had my DeSoto washed, greased & oil changed to-day. Mileage 2801.
9 March 1929 • Saturday
I spent the forenoon at the Temple. This is the 47th anniversary of my marriage. In the afternoon I took Sarah & Nina with Mother in my car to Ogden & got Edna and I took [page break] Mother and Edna to a show in the evening.
10 March 1929 • Sunday
Rained Some.
I spoke in the large Tabernacle in the afternoon, by appointment Subject: Apostasy & Restoration. Attended meeting in Forest Dale Ward in the evening where Pres. A. W. Ivins was the speaker.
I ate nothing until about 4:00 P.M. when Mother and I took dinner with Sarah & Hugh. I spent the forenoon studying.
11 March 1929 • Monday
It snowed for several hours, most of the day Mother and I went to the Temple in the early morning as usual. Had busy day as usual.
12 March 1929 • Tuesday
I spent part of the day at home getting out my Income Tax report &c. Part of the day was spent at the temple. Edna came down from Ogden and I took her to the depot in the evening.
13 March 1929 • Wednesday
Stormy weather
I spent the day at the Temple as usual. Attended my circle meeting in the evening.
14 March 1929 • Thursday
I met with the Twelve in committee in the Temple from 8:30 to 10: A.M. & met with the Presidency & Twelve in regular weekly meeting.
Attended to desk work & other work during the day at the Temple. I went home to Supper and spent [page break] the evening at home.
Mother had been home all day doctoring Ray’s sprained ankle.
15 March 1929 • Friday
Mother & I went to the Temple in the morning as usual.
I prepared a two paged letter and a one paged report to be typed, mimeographed and sent to members of the family appealing for help with our temple work.
I took Mother & her two sisters Maria, & Annie down to Estellas about 1: P.M. and went after them & took them home about 5:30 and Mother & I returned to the Temple

16 March 1929 • Saturday
Spencer Taylor came from Tremonton & stayed with us last night and he and I played a game of golf this morning, the first either of us has played this season.
I spent the afternoon at the Temple at my desk. My appointment for this weekend was to the Young Stake but my appointment was called off on account of the weather, the long time required to make the visit & the hazard [page break] of traveling this time of year and conditions of the weather on the narrow gague road in the mountain. No word from the Stake & no press of necessity.
17 March 1929 • Sunday
I spent the forenoon at home.
Attended 1:00 o’clock funeral services for Sister Timmenma held in Richards’ ward chapel, took my wife, my son George & his wife and after the services we went to the home of Wallace Cragun 1142 East, 3d So. St and administered to Brother Cragun who has been ill with flu for three weeks. His heart was very weak. Brother Cragun passed away at about 8: P.M. George & I went over to their home about 10: P.M. Sister Cragun was almost distracted.
I assisted George in administering to his Son Robert who is in bed with the mumps.
Attended 27th ward Sacrament meeting, [illegible] Chas. R. Mabey was the speakers & made a good talk. Edna came down from Ogden and stayed over night. Estella and Spencer are also with us.
18 March 1929 • Monday
Spencer, Estella & Edna left for home this morning.
Mother & I went to the Temple as usual Nina & Ray improving.
We attended Bro. & Sis Gates Home party for Sis. S. Y. Gates the 73d in the evening, and later returned to the Temple and saw the last company through. [page break]

I went to the Temple in the morning.
Attended committee meeting at Dr Talmage’s office at 9:30 A.M. Attended to Special ordinance work at noon. Played my second game of golf with my Son George after 5: P.M.

I attended to my duties at the Temple as usual. attended my Circle meeting and took Hugh & Sarah home and Mother & I took supper with them.
21 March 1929 • Thursday
Attended meeting of the Twelve & the Twelve & First Presidency from 8:30 to 12:30. Spoke at the funeral services of Wallace Cragun in the 16th ward Chapel. Attended to my duties at the Temple between times. Assisted President Grant & family in the evening with their sealing work. The President & his daughter Florence were proxies and I sealed for them 40 couples.
22 March 1929 • Friday
Mother and I went to the Temple as usual in the morning. I have my appointment changed from Morgan to Fremont, and leave tonight for Rexburg. Geo. & I attended a wrestling match in the evening & he took me to [t]he depot.
23 March 1929 • Saturday
On the train for Rexburg. I was met at the station buy Arthur Porter of the stake Presidency and taken to President Romney’s home where I spent the night. I was one of the Speakers at the afternoon conference meeting, the opening or first meeting. [page break]

I attended at spoke at both forenoon and afternoon meetings and took 5:23 P.M. train for home. I set apart two presidents of the 84th quorum of Seventies three Bishopric counselors, one High Counselor and resealed upon a Bro [last name redacted] his former blessings.

I arrived in Salt Lake From Rexburg at 7:05 A.M. Attended to my duties as usual in the Temple where I spent more than eleven hours. Sister Richards and I attended a reception tendered to Nephi L. Morris, Pres. of Salt Lake Stake, held in 29th ward amusement Hall. The 25th Anniversary of the organization of the Stake & Pres. Morris’ administration. This was held in the evening.
26 March 1929 • Tuesday
No endowments administered on Tuesdays. Baptisms are performed. I went to the Temple as usual in the morning and spent most of the day there. Edna came from Ogden and I took her & Mother down to Sarah’s, mamie’s and Nina’s towards evening. Mother & I called on Lucena, later. She is poorly.

I did the speaking at the Temple meeting. We excused [first name, middle initial, and last name redacted] from coming to the Temple. He does not sustain the Authorities of the Church in their attitude toward the practice of Plural marriage and he is loud mouthed about it and determined in his way. [page break]

I attended Temple meeting as usual at 8:25 A.M. to 9: o’clock, met with the Twelve in the Temple at 9:00 A.M. and with the Twelve & Presidency at 10: A.M. Attended to my duties at the Temple after these meetings.

I spent part of the day in the Temple. Attended to other business affairs outside the Temple, and went with Mother and our daughter Estella to a show at the Play House.

By appointment, I attended the Burton ward S. School and Fast Meeting and spoke at each.
We had Oliver & family, Estella and family, Nina & family and Edna to dinner, breaking fast about 3: P.M. Mother & I attended 21st ward meeting and heard our son talk 17 minutes on the subject of scouting and the benefits to boys being members of that organization. He did very well.
We went down to Gollagher’s and I assisted in administering to Alberta. She and Ray ran their car into a moving street car after last night’s dance and the car was badly damaged and Alberta was badly hurt with a gash in the [page break] forehead. While in Burton ward I visited Bro Rasgelin, one of our Temple workers and administered to him. A number of our family members called upon us during the afternoon. Mother has been poorly for a few days but is much better to-day. This has been a Fine day, sunshine but cool.
