Rained part of the day, plowed 4 rounds, hauled one load of rock off, lower 80 acres and slushed in my shanty 1/2 day.

Left Plymouth for Farmington rained during the night and part of [p. 93] 7the day, camped at cold springs, rained in the night.

Rained part of the day, arrived at Farmington before sunset.

15 April 1885 • Wednesday

took grist to mill, plow down to D. Oveatts and got a beam put in it, visited with Steve, Took Mother, Alice and Steve over to Nerva’s & took supper there.

16 April 1885 • Thursday

Went down and saw Hughs about building a house, took Clarks saddle down, Plowed the lot, repaired the table &c.

17 April 1885 • Friday

Took mares down to Steves & helped him off for Mendon. Helped the folks wash bedcloths and carpets. copied journal notes taken while on Bear River, &c.

18 April 1885 • Saturday

planted the garden. &c.

19 April 1885 • Sunday

Stayed at home in the fornoon and went down to Robinsons in afternoon

20 April 1885 • Monday

Went to mill and to D. Oviatts to get grist and put handle in ax. greesed wagon and packed some things to take to Bear River.

21 April 1885 • Tuesday

Clerked for Bishop’s Court of Farmington in for and after noon. Fred went to S.L.[C.]

22 April 1885 • Wednesday

Fred returned from S.L.C. packed things in wagon for Bearriver. Took bailer & tucker to shop to be soldered. [p. 94]

823 April 1885 • Thursday

Branded Fred’s colt, finished loading my wagon for Bear River.

24 April 1885 • Friday

Left <for> Bear River with family accompanied by S. J. Robinson who was on her way to George town Bear Lake. nooned at River dale and camped for night at Harrisville.

25 April 1885 • Saturday

Drove from Harris ville to Plymouth (home) Stayed at Myrons over night.

26 April 1885 • Sunday

Cleaned the shanty and moved part of the things in.

27 April 1885 • Monday

Straitened around took box off wagon and stored things in it made well <(frame)> curb & hung buckets. &c.

28 April 1885 • Tuesday

Went to the canyon and got load of wood.

29 April 1885 • Wednesday

Made chicken coop hung closeline put up grindstone &c. started planting potatoes.

30 April 1885 • Thursday

Put large clevis on plow plowed in potatoes, hauled some rock for a pigpen started to laying it up.
