Mother & I went with Joel and Waldo Lyman to see an installed Baker Automatic Oil Burner. in a home in S. E. part of town. We there met a service man Mr Foot From there we went to our house and after looking things over they offered to install a plant and service it free for one year for $500. I told them that if they buys a car of Joel i.e. Richards Motor Co. so as to apply the burner on the car I would have one installed. Waldo is figuring with Joel on a 60 Chrysler.
Waldo Lyman estimates that 100 gal of oil is the equivalent of one ton of coal oil costs 8 ct per gal. Mrs Gundy, at whose home we saw a plant in operation said they had used theirs two winters and that they were more than satisfied with it. She says they get no suit from it and the convenience and comfort of it is beyond description.
