6–18 June 1903

June 18 Since the above writing business has been brisk with us. I have been kept busy. Nothing transpiring worthy of note that I remember of. We commenced cutting our old lucern Wed noon June 10 Stopped off to haul car lum. June 17 & 18 & got Nels Johnson to continue the Cutting. He will likely finish to-day.

Have engaged Nels Johnson & Brig. Gillet to haul it for $1.50 per ton & take hay in field for pay @ $5.75. Let the new lucern on Larsen field & Bench farm on shares to H Vowles & G. Horman. They do all the work & give me one third in the Stack.

Am selling hay from the field @ 6.00 and delivered @ 7.50 Engaged to deliver to Milling Co. 10 tons or there abouts for $7.00 [p. 128]

June 14 Visited E.T. Ward attended School & meeting and spoke in both took dinner with Bp. Feller.

Prest Gowans & his wife E. was along. My surray Ed Gowans team.

Prest Gowans visited St. John ward I was in City.

28 June 1903 • Sunday

With my team Prest Gowans & I went to Batesville where we attended School & meeting & spoke to the people. Took dinner at Bp. Orme’s.
