[. . .] Prest E R Snow then made a few remarks said: The spirit of God is the Spirit of Intelligence, the saints of God are the most intelligent people on the face of the earth. I think it is a great privilege that we enjoy of meeting together. I desire to overcome and hold in subjection the weaknesses of the flesh; what a blessing it is that we enjoy health, while some are prostrated upon their beds, we should feel gratefull to our father, perhaps it would be well in the beginning to say that it has been suggested that the society have a party, I would like to hear the feelings of all upon this subject—Remarks were made by nearly all the sisters who were all willing to have a party, and on what they could to assist, it was therefore moved seconded and carried that the Society get up a party to hold at the Schoolhouse Feby 10. [. . .] [p. 61]
