Sister Eliza R. Snow then addressed the meeting. Said we had met this evening to organize another department of the United Order. The improvement of the Young is a subject of more consequence to Zion than any other at present. The Organization of the Young Ladies, is not gotten up by man or woman, but by the Revelations of God. In an organized capacity we can be more real help to each other & have greater facilities than as Individuals or singly, for this purpose God hath called us to organize that we may become developed into greatness & goodness. In organizing this association we will require One President, Six Councillors, a Secretary & an assistant Secty. It is the prerogative of the Young Sisters to choose who shall preside over them.
