Prest. Minnie Snow, motioned that we invite the Young Mens Mutual Improvement Association to attend our meeting to hear E. R. Snow speak.

Prest. Minnie Snow thanked the Young men for accepting the invitation; & stated that Bro [Charles] Kelly would not lecture as previously appointed as Eliza R. was present & the time would be given to her
Sister Snow then arose to address the young brethren & sisters; Said the Retrenchment Associations were organized by the power of God, & that they were doing much good. The Children should seek for the blessings themselves, & that the knowledge & efforts of the Young were needed to carry out the work that their parents had commenced; if the little girls were to wait until they were 40 years of age they would have to commence where they are commencing now; She was glad to hear that the Young Ladies of B. C. [Brigham City] had voted down round dancing, & hoped the Young men would sanction the vote the Young Ladies had taken, & try to encourage them. Told the Young Ladies to discourage the use of whisky & smoking, & other evils in the young men; felt greatly pleased in the improvement the young people were taking, & prayed that they would continue to improve.
