General Relief Society; Council House, Salt Lake City, Utah Territory
[. . .] Pres E. R Snow in the Chair, [. . .] Pres E. R. Snow called for an expression of those present relateing to takeing part in the celebration of the approaching 24th of July. Some discussion followed when a motion prevailed, that the Relief Society be represented in procession with a Flag and that room be asked for in the procession for Ten Carriages <which were to be occupied by representative ladies>. [. . .] Pres E. R. Snow proffered Silk in her possession for the proposed Flag and proposed that Relief Society in 300 branches be inscribed on it. Then proposed that the Committee <on Flag> be delegated to act with discretionary power. [. . .] [p. 8]
