Sr E R Snow spoke to the Srs dwelling at considerable length on the necessity there is for some of us to study and qualify ourselves for Physicians. said that there is a class in SLCity [Salt Lake City] that is taught by a Lady who understands her business. she would like to see some from every place in Utah join this class. that as daughters of Zion it was necessary [p. 73] for some of us to inform ourselves in this thing as well as many others, and if there were any who wish to make themselves very useful there was a field open for them, if any of the Srs from Logan wished to join this class she would take their names. She gave some excellent counsel showing how vast is the field of labor for Women in this Church. Said that every Woman who is called to labor in the R. S. [Relief Society] has the right to wash and anoint the sick, and showed the great calling of a teacher in this Society. Spoke to Mothers about the rearing of their Children, that they might become useful men and women in the Kingdom of God.

Sr [Mary Ann W.] Maughan said she was very thankful for the good instructions we had received from Sr Snow, hoped she would often favor us with a visit.
