Present Sis [Mary Ann] Leaver & Counselor [Sarah] Needham & [Jane] Steel also Mrs I. M. Horn. [Mary Isabella Hales Horne] Miss Eliza R. Snow Mrs. M. [Margaret] Young & Elvira [S.] Barney. [. . .]

[. . .] Sis Snow said it was five years since Br. Brigham [Young] desired sisters Snow Horn & [Margaret T.] Smoot to Organize the Society for young Ladies & much good has been done & they were still Organizing.

That by assembling together they get the Spirit of the Gospil. Took a vote to see how who, belonged to this Society in the ward most present were members. Gave much good Advice.
