Pres. Mrs. M. I. [Mary Isabella Hales] Horne, did not feel like occupying the time. Would like to hear from Sister Snow and all those disposed to speak to us. Prayed that we may be dictated by the Spirit of God.

Coun. Miss. E. R. Snow,

Wished to apologise for being so late, went to administer to Sis. Rhoda [H.] Richards and was detained. She gave a scetch of the age and wonderful activity of Sis. Richards. She then said our lives are in the hands of the Lord and we should live near to Him and keep His cammandments. How much better it is to speak of the goodness of God and to meditate on the gifts and blessings of Hes [His] everlasting gospel, than to be always talking of our trials and sorrows. We can all testify that if we have an interest in the welfare and prosperity of Zion we will be happy and contented. It is to our own advancement to keep Zion’s interest in view. If we all do a little when combined together it will make a great deal. We made no fuss about Woman Suffrage as the women in the world do, but when our Father in Heaven saw that the time had come when women’s vote was needed, He put it into the hearts of the brethren to give us that right.

The coming together of our sisters show that they have an interest in the Kingdom of God.

Let our religion be the theme of our hearts night and day. I want to [n.p.] say to our young sisters that if they will only do right in no matter what the world say, they will be shining light in the time to come. I have visited some of the Scandinavian sisters meetings. They are alive to the work of God. I want to hear from the sisters. Just get up and tell your feelings whether for the “kingdom of God” or the kingdom of Satan. We should live so as not to be surprised when the Son of Man shall come but be prepared to meet Him. I think it would be a very good idea to bring the young ladies arganization [organization] in all the wards together in one meeting in this hall. It would be very interesting to me.
