[. . .] She then spoke of a meeting of those who were engaged in the silk culture to be held in the City to all on Monday evening May 31st
Counselor Miss E. R. Snow
I wish to say to those sisters who have taken mulberry cuttings to keep them well watered.
during the week I have been somewhat afraid that the sisters would [n.p.] neglect the cuttings, Sister Young has spoken of a meeting for those who are interested in this branch of business and before long there will be an Association formed. When the gate is shut down and we can not get what we need from Babylon we do not wish to resort to any thing ordinary but the best.

Counselor Mrs Z. D. Young said
When the mulberries are ripe save the seeds and send them to your friends that they may cultivate the trees for shade trees and other purposes. [. . .]
Miss Snow said the young lady that wished to be administered to would be attended to after the administration
President Joseph Young again arose and said—I have been asking Sister Snow the definition of retrenchment we all know what it means but I wished to ascertain your mea[n]ing which is a good one [. . .] [n.p.]
