Sister E. R. Snow said if the Bishop [Adam Speirs] had given the Relief Society permission to hold meetings in this house the Pres. [Sarah H. Strong] and her Counsellors [Elizabeth A. Morris and Amanda. M. Pierce] have a right to occupy the stand.

If there are sisters here who attend meeting only on such occasions as the present, they are not in the line of their duty. I would not advise mothers to leave their little ones unprotected to attend meetings, but there were times when she could leave them; who needs spiritual food more than the mothers? We covenanted at the waters of baptism to fulfill every commandment. nothing short of Celestial glory will satisfy myself. Are the young of both sexes living as prophets and propheteses; Spoke in high terms of Primary Associations, and said much depended upon mothers using their influence with their children, and encouraging them to go to their meetings. She gave good counsel to the young sisters.

Sang “Oh my Father, thou that dwellest.[”]
