The Pleasant Grove meetinghouse was built in 1864, and later used as the Pioneer Hall by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Used by permission, Utah State Historical Society.

We are expecting Sisters E. R. Snow and Zina Young to call on us on their way home from Heber City We will be pleased to see them though their stay is short

It is a pleasure to meet [p. 250] you again and I hope you are becoming alive to your duties, which are fast multiplying with woman. we need to be women of business. to read and inform our minds and become acquainted with the things that agitate the public to day; several of the ladies of our city were called as members of Salt Lake county <convention> you will perhaps be called to fill much higher positions. then let us become intelligent and full of wisdom &c Asked our heavenly father <to> bless the sisters of this ward. &c
