Second Ward Femiel Releife Socoiety [Female Relief Society] Reorganised on the 15 day of June 1869 by Eliza R. Snow [. . .]

Sr. Eliza R Snow then Adressed the Sisters on the Prinleble [principle] of the Socoiety as it was revealed from heaven in Br. Joheph Smith time and it was the same to day it was from the Lord and it was for the Sisters to be kind and to looke after the Poor also to help the Bishops and Brethern and for this Purpas [purpose] was this Socoity Organis [organized]. and the Sisters was to be very Particklour [particular] in voting in Members none but what was of a good Charactur and when eny [any] one came for relief to have anote [a note] from the Presidante so that the Socoity should not be imposed on in time to come and the meetings was to be done in Order for there was a large Platform a head for the Sisters if they would only step forward and fulfil there Calling in this Socoity as it tis to Acomplis◊ much good Among◊◊ the Poor and to Bless the Sick when called on she also exorted the Mothers to take care of there Children and see they read the Books belonging to the Latterday Saints and not those Books that is brought from the States as they would weaken booth [both] Body and Mind as she Looked upon the Sisters as Mothers Eves and by doing all the good we could one for the other and abov[e] all to have Chierity [charity]. [. . .] [p. 14]
