Pres. E. R. Snow Smith. What are we doing when we are out of meeting? What kind of a spirit are we cultivating? What are our thoughts then?
The way is open for each one of you may be as noble as woman ever was; but in order to attain to this we will have to be singular. How much good we might do if we were as united in the work of God as we were in the singing to-day.
Girls, use your influence for good with your brothers! We should be united in this for one can do but little. Spoke against “round dancing.”
Suggested that we have for our next subject the observance of the Sabeth day.
Said that anciently the children of Israel were not allowed to gather the manna which fell on Sunday. We will have to answer for all the priveleges that we have. O our lives depends more upon what we are out of meeting, than when we are in. To be happy we must make others happy. Our actions, and dress, form character. Speak the truth; be honest.
Conduct yourselves so that you can feel that God approves of you. Said her earliest recollections was were a desire to do good and be useful. Spoke upon vertue [virtue] urged us to preserve it.
