Pres. [Mary Isabella Hales] Horne being absence, Counselor E. R. Snow presided.

Sister E. R. Snow said: I have been well pleased with the number of minutes read hear [here] to day, and feel to say “God bless those that have read them.”

We have no cause to [be] sorrowful hearted or cast down for the work of God is progressing, just as it has been prophesied by the Prophets of old. [p. 7]

Those in Congress do not know what they are doing, half so well as we do. They are tearing in shreds the laws of our constution [constitution], and they will some day regret it, for they will have to reap their rewards. May God bless you my dear Sisters and pour out His Holy Spirit upon you.

I do not wish to occupy more of the time for I wish to hear from my Sisters.
