I. From the Moroni Relief Society Minutes

then sis E. R. S. Smith spoke for some time she felt happy with the Brethern & sister of Sanpete she would liked to have seen all the Brethern thier [there] to take an intrest in the sisters wellfaire. she spoke on the backwardness of some of the sisters in bearing thier tertimony [testimony] she said it was nothing but pride. she exhorted the sister to improve them selves in evry thing that is usefull. she said that Joshp [Joseph] Smith said if the sisters would take the responsibility of the poor and Comfort the sick, it would help the Brethern a great deal. she said that Mothers needs the holy Spirit to help her in her family Circle. she exhorted the sisters to bere thier testimonys in thier meetings & the Lord will help them that are humble. she said thier was no such a [thing as?] can’t in the life of a saint. we have to go step by step & that is the way to the way to the Celestial Kingdom.

the Lord has placed the Celestial Glory before us and in our reach & Oh <how> great will be our disapointment if we dont live for it she allso said our spirits needed food that they might grow and becom great & noble.

Meeting held in the afternoon

Opened by singing & Prayr. Sister [Mary Ann P.] Hyde called a vote that we Sustain Sister E. R. Snow as President, of R. S’s [Relief Societies] also Sisters [Elizabeth] Ann Whitney Zina D. [H.] Young as her councelors, moved and carried that they be sustained.

Sister E. R. Snow spoke said that we mother’s should take a little more interest in the wellfare of our children to know what they were doing. We should study the laws of life so as to be able to stand the trials and tribulations that awaits us. she also spok[e] in tongues.

II. From the Stake Relief Society Minutes

President E. R. S. Smith occupied the remainder of A. M. Session speaking upon the mission of woman upon the earth and nature and intent of the organization of R. S. [Relief Society] Told the sisters not to ask the Lord to humble them but to humble themselves. [p. 108]

Sister Smith spoke in tongues blessing all the sisters and priesthood in their vocations. [. . .] [p. 109]
