Sister E R Snow then said: We have every reason to feel encouraged; I did not expect to hear all the dists [districts] reported to-day, I anticipate much pleasure in our society here in the 18[th] Ward, we not only want to [p. 6] look after the poor, but we want to cultivate and instruct each other in the principles of the gospel, we want to perfect ourselves, and in order to do that, we must have the Spirit of God, when we honor the principle of <and> laws of our heavenly father, we honor ourselves [. . .] [p. 7]
