Millville Relief Society and Young Ladies; Millville, Utah Territory

Eliza. R. Snow spoke. said that each sister should come to meeting with prayerful hearts, that they might have the spirit of God while convened together. Made the comparison of the sisters going without eating and not meeting together oftener. Said the saints needed spiritual food as well as mental. Spoke of mothers in Israel training their daughters in rightness righteousness. Quoted scripture where God said he would have A peculiar people. also bore her testimony to the truth. Exorted the sisters to honor the principle of plural marriage. Spoke of union also of home industry. Said Zion would not be free till we were A self sustaining people. Then spoke of the Y. L. M. I. A. Spoke to the Young Ladies and blessed them in tounges [tongues]. Zina Young gave the interpretation.

Sis. E. [Elizabeth A.] Davis spoke apologized for not being here by the appointed time. Counceled the sisters to pattern after Sis Snow, also spoke of Sis. Snows life in the church. [. . .] [p. 221]
