Salt Lake City Twentieth Ward Young Ladies; Salt Lake City, Utah Territory

Sister [Margaret T.] Smoot spoke a few encouraging words to the sisters after which Sister Eliza Snow told the object of the organization it was for mutual improvement to learn more of the Church’s principles to which we belong and to become useful instruments in the kingdom of God. Sister Snow then proceeded to organize Sister Sarah [A.] Howard as Pres Sister Elizabeth [P.] Stayner as first Coun Sister Isabel Glade as second. Other Coun would be chosen when the Pres gets more acquainted with the young ladies Miss Rebecca Manning became Sec for the Society Sister Jane Fowler was appointed to act as superintendent [. . .] [p. 3]
