John S. Lee was born in Utah Territory on 22 February 1862 to Thomas Lee and Primrose Shields. He married Harriet E. Sabin. He worked as a blacksmith and insurance agent. Lee was one of the presidents of the 143rd Quorum of the Seventy in Tooele, Utah Territory. He served on the Tooele City Council and as Tooele city marshal. He died in Tooele on 26 March 1925.[1]
