Born 9 Dec. 1828 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.1 Daughter of George Cannon and Ann Quayle.2  Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Parley P. Pratt, June 1840, at Liverpool.3 Immigrated with her family aboard the Sidney, arriving at New Orleans 11 Nov. 1842 and Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, spring 1843.4 Married Charles Lambert, 28 Nov. 1844, at Nauvoo; fourteen children.5 Raised her three orphaned siblings.6 Remained in Nauvoo when the main body of the Latter-day Saints left and witnessed the Battle of Nauvoo, 1846.7 Was run over by her wagon while traveling to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), 1846.8 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with the Allen Taylor pioneer company, arriving Sept. 1849.9 Served fifteen years as secretary in the Salt Lake City Seventh Ward Relief Society followed by twenty-two years as president, beginning 1868.10 Accompanied her husband on a mission to England, 1882–1883.11 Became acquainted with EBW while attending meetings and social activities, by 1892.12 Appointed as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake temple, 1893.13 Served as recording secretary of the Women’s Press Club, 1897.14 Appointed as a missionary to assist the Relief Society general board members in visiting stakes, ca. 1897–1912.15 Died 7 Sept. 1920 in Salt Lake City.16
