Born 12 July 1823 at Carlow, Co. Carlow, Ireland.1 Daughter of Robert Anderson and Lucretia Ward.2 Married William Howard, 9 June 1841, in Co. Carlow; ten children.3 Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Daniel Bell, 28 Aug. 1851.4 Emigrated from Liverpool, Lancashire, England, to Philadelphia, arriving late Mar. 1853.5 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with the Moses Daley Freight pioneer company, arriving by 29 Sept. 1853.6 Appointed as secretary of the Big Cottonwood Ward Relief Society, 3 May 1868.7 Served a mission to England with her husband, Aug. 1868–1869.8 Counselor to Mary Isabella Hales Horne, general president of the Retrenchment Association, 1873.9 President of the Big Cottonwood Ward Relief Society, 1876–1886.10 Served on the Central Grain Committee with EBW, beginning 1876.11 Appointed as secretary of the Salt Lake Stake Relief Society, Dec. 1877.12 Served with EBW on the board of Deseret Hospital, beginning 1882.13 Delegate with EBW to the Utah constitutional convention, 10 Apr. 1882.14 Delegate from Salt Lake Co. to the People’s Territorial Convention, 1882.15 President of the Salt Lake Co. Woman’s Suffrage Association, 1891–1892.16 Signed the articles of incorporation of the National Woman’s Relief Society, 10 Oct. 1892.17 Member of the Relief Society general board, 1892–1893.18 Died at 12 Mar. 1893 in Grantsville, Tooele Co., Utah Territory; buried in Salt Lake City.19
