Likely born 31 Jan. 1840 at Alston Moor, Cumberland, England.1 Daughter of Ralph Thompson and Ann Bentley.2 Emigrated to the U.S. with her parents aboard the North America, arriving in New York City by 12 Oct. 1840.3 Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1849.4 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with the John B. Walker pioneer company, arriving in early Oct. 1852.5 Married Frederick Augustus Herman Frank Mitchell, 15 Nov. 1855, in Salt Lake City; twelve children.6 Second counselor in the Salt Lake City Thirteenth Ward Relief Society, 1868–1873.7 Accompanied her husband when he served as president of the Sandwich Islands mission, 1873–1875.8 Attended social events with EBW.9 EBW remembered her birthday, 31 Jan. 1900.10 Moved to Logan, Cache Co., Utah, by June 1900.11 Died 6 Apr. 1924 at Logan; buried in Salt Lake City.12
