Inez Godbe

19 August 1852—10 July 1930

Born 19 Aug. 1852 in Utah Territory.1 Daughter of Justus Earl and Adeline Woodward.2 Niece of EBW.3 Completed teacher training at St. Mark’s School, 29 May 1875.4 Attended the Territorial Teacher’s Normal Institute, Aug. 1875.5 Taught school in Logan, Cache Co., Utah Territory, by 1880.6 Married Samuel T. Godbe, 1880; five children.7 Gave EBW a rose and a gold piece on the birthday of a cousin who was killed in the Civil War; EBW gave her a copy of her poetry book, Musing and Memories, 18 Oct. 1902.8 Moved to Los Angeles, by 1904; delegate to the Los Angeles Co. Women’s Suffrage Convention, Oct. 1904.9 Died 10 July 1930 in Los Angeles.10
