Thomas Levi Whittle

Born in Essex, Ontario, Canada; married Mary Fullmer in 1833; baptized with wife in 1837; moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, prior to 1840; immigrated to Utah in 1848 with his family; left Salt Lake City for California in same company as GQC in October 1849; called on mission to Hawai‘i in September 1850 while at Slap Jack Bar; assigned to labor as Hiram Clark’s companion on O‘ahu; left the islands in early 1851 and likely returned to Utah that same year; assigned to delay advance of U.S. Army during 1857–1858 Utah War; lived in Grantsville, Utah, before moving to Richmond, Utah, where he died.
