Ordained priest in Honolulu in April 1853; ordained elder in May 1853; accompanied Nathan Tanner and Thomas Karren on mission to Hilo, Hawai‘i; forced to put ashore at Kohala because of bad weather; labored there with his companions until his death in July 1853.
