William Hardwick Vowles

7 August 1870–7 October 1918

William Hardwick Vowles was born in Bitton, Gloucestershire, England, on 7 August 1870 to William Vowles and Isabella Hardwick. He came to the United States in 1889. On 16 December 1896, he married Susie Evans in Tooele, Utah. Vowles, along with his father William Vowles Sr., was a merchant in Tooele, operating a meat and grocery store. He served as city recorder in Tooele and died on 7 October 1918.[1]
