Thomas Martin was born to James Martin and Charlotte Kirk on 19 August 1871 in Lakeview, Utah Territory. He married Maria D. Lester on 14 June 1899. Martin served as a missionary in the southern United States and Great Britain. He operated a mercantile store. After Maria died in March 1919, he married Beatrice L. Erickson on 3 September 1919. Martin died in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 27 July 1961.¹
