Newell Whitney

13 September 1858–5 March 1927

Newell Kimball Whitney was born to John K. Whitney and Ann Longstroth on 13 September 1858 in Salt Lake City, Utah Territory. He married Mary (Mamie) Etta Hickok on 21 February 1891 in Logan, Utah Territory. They had seven children. By 1897 the family was living in Tooele, Utah. Whitney worked as a veterinarian. He moved his family to Boise, Idaho, in 1921 and died there on 5 March 1927.[1]
