John Alexander Bevan

2 April 1851–13 February 1925

John Alexander Bevan was born on 4 February 1851 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to James Bevan and Mary Shields. His family migrated to Utah Territory in 1852, and he married Letitia Kelsey in 1876. He served as a county assessor and commissioner in Tooele, Utah, as well as a precinct justice and city justice. He served twice as a missionary in the Southern States Mission and was a patriarch at the time of his death. He died on 13 February 1925.[1]
