James Dwyer was born on 22 November 1831 to Martin Dwyer and Catherine Powers in Tipperary, Ireland. He married Sarah Ann Hammer in 1862 in Salt Lake City, Utah Territory, and worked as a bookseller in Salt Lake. After Sarah Ann’s death, he married Jennie MacKenzie on 14 February 1910 in Salt Lake City. He died on 12 January 1915 in Salt Lake City.[1]
