Charles Alvin Orme was born to Samuel W. Orme and Sarah Cross on 21 October 1869 in Tooele, Utah Territory. He served as a missionary in the Australia Mission from 1896 to 1899 and married Ada M. Dunn on 20 September 1899. Orme also served as bishop of the Batesville Ward, president of the Australia Mission from 1908 to 1911, and president of the Tooele Stake from 1912 to 1928. He was a farmer and stock raiser, and he died in Tooele on 16 November 1932.^[1]
