Abel Parker

Abel Parker was born on 27 June 1815 to James Parker and Nancy Fulford in Brockville, Upper Canada. He married Isabel Marshall Elliot in January 1838. He moved to Tooele, Utah Territory, in 1863. Parker ran a sawmill in Middle Canyon and was president of the Tooele City Cooperative Mercantile Institution and the Tooele County Milling Company. He served on the Tooele City Council and was first counselor in the Tooele Stake high priests quorum. He died on 22 January 1896 in Tooele.[1]
