Anna Maria Whitney
Born 1 Oct. 1836 in Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio.[1] Daughter of Newel K. Whitney and Elizabeth Ann Smith.[2] Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with her family in the Heber C. Kimball pioneer company, arriving 24 Sept. 1848.[3] Married Erastus Foote Hall, 2 May 1866, in Salt Lake City; five children.[4] EBW paid her a visit for a serious talk, 17 Apr. 1881, as they were intimately acquainted and EBW was “fondly attached.”[5] EBW and Eliza R. Snow anointed her prior to her confinement, 8 May 1881.[6] EBW stayed all night with her, 17 June 1881; stillborn baby boy delivered, 18 June 1881.[7] EBW visited her, 26 June 1881, and stated “Maria was very low and didn’t know anyone at all.”[8] Died 27 June 1881 in Salt Lake City.[9]
