Born 8 Feb. 1838 at St. Martin, Jersey, Channel Islands.1 Daughter of James Philip DuFresne and Mary Remon.2 Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by John Taylor, 20 June 1850.3 Emigrated to the U.S. aboard the ship Marshfield, arriving in New Orleans 29 May 1854.4 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley, arriving by 24 Oct. 1854.5 Married Edward Stevenson, 28 Oct. 1855, in Salt Lake City; eight children.6 Signed as a witness of the articles of incorporation of the National Woman’s Relief Society, 10 Oct. 1892.7 Visited and socialized with EBW, 1894–1904.8 Frequently attended Relief Society conferences in Utah and Idaho, 1894–1906.9 Active in the Reapers’ Club with EBW, 1894–1905; treasurer, 1903.10 Participated with EBW in giving blessings and ministrations.11 Member of the Relief Society general board, 1900–1906.12 Died 25 Apr. 1906 in Castle Dale, Emery Co., Utah.13
