Zina Presendia Young Williams Card

1 Born at Salt Lake City; daughter of Zina Diantha Huntington and Brigham Young. 2 Married first Thomas Child Williams, 1868; two children. 3 Counselor in the first Young Ladies’ Department of the Ladies’ Cooperative Retrenchment Association, 1870. 4 Widowed, 1874. 5 Moved to Provo, Utah County, Utah Territory, 1878. 6 Attended Brigham Young Academy; headed the academy’s domestic science department for seven years. 7 Served as president of the Utah Stake Primary and counselor in the Utah Stake Young Ladies’ Mutual Improvement Association (Y.L.M.I.A.). 8 Active in the woman suffrage movement; served as a delegate to the eleventh annual convention of the Woman Suffrage Association in Washington DC, 1879. 9 Married second Charles Ora Card, 1884; three children. 10 Moved to Cardston, Alberta, Canada, 1887. 11 Served as ward and stake president of the Y.L.M.I.A. at Cardston. 12 Moved to Logan, Cache County, Utah, 1903; served as matron of Brigham Young College in Logan. 13 Widowed, 1906, and moved to Salt Lake City. 14 Appointed matron of Latter-day Saint College.
