Maria Jane Johnston Johnson Woodward

October 28, 1824–February 14, 1911

1 Born at Wartrace Creek, Wilson County, Tennessee; daughter of Hannah Hall Buckley and Oliver Campbell Johnston. 2 Baptized, circa 1838. 3 Migrated to Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois. 4 Appointed as a nurse by Joseph Smith; practiced nursing for over sixty years. 5 Married first George Washington Johnson, 1844; later divorced; nine children. 6 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley, 1851. 7 Married second James Woodward, 1863; two children. 8 Moved to Huntington, Emery County, Utah Territory, circa 1885. 9 Served as a counselor in the Huntington Relief Society presidency, 1889–1901. 10 Died at Huntington. 11 (See Document 4.25)
