1 Born at Murrell Green, Hampshire, England; son of Mary Sutton and William Willie. 2 Immigrated to the United States, circa 1836; lived in Connecticut. 3 Baptized, 1842. 4 Married Elizabeth Ann Pettit, 1846; participated in plural marriage. 5 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley, 1847. 6 Served a mission to England, 1852–1856. 7 Served as captain of the Willie handcart company, 1856. 8 Served as bishop of the Salt Lake City Seventh Ward, 1856–1859. 9 Settled at Mendon, Cache County, Utah Territory, 1859. 10 Died at Mendon. 11 (See Document 3.3)
