1 Born at Fillmore, Millard County, Utah Territory; son of Sarah Lucretia Clayton and Edward Partridge Jr. 2 Baptized, 1877. 3 Lived in the Sandwich Islands while his father served as mission president, 1882–1885. 4 Served as English-language secretary for the Laie Primary, 1883. 5 Attended Brigham Young Academy and Michigan Agricultural College, 1885–1896. 6 Married Elizabeth Mae Truman, 1896. 7 Taught at Brigham Young University. 8 Died in a railway accident in Emery County, Utah; buried at Provo, Utah County, Utah. 9 (See Document 4.13)
