Elvira Stevens Barney

March 17, 1832–January 12, 1909

1 Born at Gerry, Chautauque County, New York; daughter of Minerva Althea Field and Samuel C. Stevens. 2 Baptized, 1844. 3 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with the Brigham Young pioneer company, arriving September 20, 1848. 4 Married John Stillman Woodbury, 23 December 1850 in Salt Lake City, UT Territory, later divorced. 5 Served a mission to the Sandwich Islands, 1851; returned to Utah Territory, 1856. 6 Married Oliver Boardman Huntington, December 1856, in Salt Lake City, UT Territory, later divorced. 7 Married Royal Barney, Jr. 6 January 1866, in Salt Lake City, UT Territory, later divorced. 8 Attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, DuPage County, Illinois, and Deseret University in Salt Lake City; studied medicine in the eastern United States. Practiced medicine and taught obstetrics in Utah. 9 Died at Salt Lake City. 10 (See Document 3.25)
