Younger sister of GQC; born in Liverpool, England; daughter of George and Ann Cannon; lost her mother during the family’s voyage to U.S. in 1842; orphaned at age four when her father died in Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1844; raised, along with her two older brothers, David and Angus, by her sister Mary Alice and her husband, Charles Lambert; reached Utah in 1849, shortly after GQC left for California; married Reddin Allred as plural wife in 1857; their marriage ended shortly afterward in divorce; accompanied her brothers David and Angus in colonizing St. George, Utah, in 1861; married Robert Gardner as plural wife in 1863; a trained midwife, helped to deliver babies into her seventies; moved to Pine Valley, Utah, in the 1880s and resided there till she died.
