Cousin of GQC; son of John and Leonora Taylor; born in Indianapolis, Indiana, while his family was en route from Canada to join with the Saints in Missouri; lived with GQC at Nauvoo, Illinois; crossed the plains to Utah in the same wagon train as GQC in 1847; lived in same home as GQC at Salt Lake City; member of first Sunday School class in Salt Lake Valley, organized by Richard Ballantyne in 1849; resided at Manti, Utah, in 1899; moved to Magrath, Alberta, Canada, in 1902; lived rest of his life there.
