James Robinson

Of mixed Hawaiian and white ancestry; born in the islands; subsequently educated in England; married Isabella Birch in Waiehu, Maui, in April 1853; hosted the missionaries at his home in Waiehu, asked them to bless his daughter, Charlotte Victoria, and provided them gifts from his store in April 1854; baptized in Waiehu in June 1854; transported Francis Hammond from Maui to Lana‘i in his boat, October 1854.
