Eli Samuel Ruggles

Born in Hawai‘i; son of members of first company of ABCFM missionaries that arrived in the islands in 1820; moved with his family to the U.S. in 1834 because of his father’s poor health; returned to Hawai‘i prior to 1851; kept store, likely on Maui.
